March, but declined 6 percent from a year ago, according to NASS. Total chicken stocks advanced 6 percent from March totals, but fell 18 percent from 2011. Total pounds of turkey in freezers climbed 17 percent from March, and advanced 20 percent from April 30, 2011, NASS reported.
