New edible packaging developed for food products

Harvard University scientist Professor David Edwards has developed WikiCells a new edible packaging. The new product is an edible membrane developed from a biodegradable polymer and food particles.

According to David Edwards, the new packaging can imitate natural membranes that hold food such as grape skins.
