Pickle-maker Vlasic has debuted its Farmer's Garden line of pickles in a variety of flavors from kosher dill to garlic chips. The pickles are made from Joseph Vlasic's original pickle recipe, which combines cucumbers, whole garlic cloves, carrot rounds, red bell peppers and herbs and spices.
In an informal tasting, The Chronicle Food Wine staff found them crisp and bright, with true pickle flavor.
The products are hand-packed into home-style mason jars, giving them that market-stand look.
