EU lifts Ukrainian grain ban, Poland and Hungary move to impose restrictions

The European Commission (EC) has lifted temporary bans on Ukraine grain after Kyiv, the countrys capital, agreed to tighten control over its agricultural exports.

The European Union has been acting firmly to support the export of Ukrainian grains and other foodstuffs, notably through the Solidarity Lanes.

The success of this work led to temporary distortions in the markets of the five member states that share a border with Ukraine, leading to the imposition of temporary restrictive measures
