Vietnamese fruit and vegetable exports hit new high

According to Vietnam Customs, vegetable and fruit exports increased by nearly 56% year-on-year in the first eight months to a record US$3.5 billion worth. The increase in Chinese demand from was a major reason for the jump. Durian prices are expected to rise in September as supply has declined in other Southeast Asian countries.
