Record road freight prices for May, as government support helps the sector reduce emissions

The TEG Road Transport Price Index has revealed an overall price-per-mile increase of 1% in May, despite inflation finally hitting single digits at 8.7% in the UK. The index has risen 1.2% year-on-year, and last months figures are at their highest for May since the index began in 2019.
