German authorities discover high levels of pesticides on imported Moroccan beans

The German authorities have issued an warning to German consumers over imported Moroccan green beans that contain high concentrations of pesticide residue. According to Spanish horticultural newspaper Hortoinfo, the Moroccan green beans contained the fungicide Penconazole, at four times its maximum residue level. The beans were imported into Germany via Italy.
