Type 2 diabetes accounts for 90 percent of all diabetes cases and is linked with obesity. The condition has been growing at a particularly high rate and is now one of the worlds most common long term health conditions. Eating some fruits could help keep blood sugar levels low.

In a study with the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, the bioactive properties in blueberries was analysed and how it improves insulin sensitivity in obese and insulin resistant men and woman.
