US snack firm Snyders Lance has acquired pretzel crisp specialist Snack Factory for a tasty $340m.
The deal is set to be finalised early in the fourth quarter of this year.
Snyders Lance has anticipated the acquisition will pull in an additional $160m in net revenues for 2013. Additionally it will differentiate its snacks portfolio further and provide entry into the deli-bakery section of grocery stores; an attractive and growing retail area for snacks, the firm said.
