Affected by mass death caused by anoxia in Yangjiang, Liusha port, Dongli and other sea waters due to water quality change in mid-August and by anoxia in Tieshan port, Qinzhou port, Yangjiang etc. where farmers took rush-harvest, owing to ichthyophthiriasis in early September, pond stock and price of golden pomfret were all exceedingly impacted in production regions. The price suffered a sharp drop during the disease breakout period, as low as 3-5 yuan/500g (even 1 yuan/500g in some regions).
