Fiji lifts restriction on some veg exports

The Biosecurity Authority of Fiji has lifted the temporary suspension that was imposed on some vegetables exported to New Zealand from all Sigatoka Farms.

These vegetables include bhindi, long bean and tubua.

BAF Executive Chairman, Xavier Khan, says the temporary suspension was lifted after a field survey report on pests Thrips palmi' was conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture Extension and Research team last month.
