Indian mango farmers suffer from lack of processing facilities

Srinivaspur in the Kolar district borders Andhra Pradesh and is around 90 km from Bengaluru. It produces the largest quantity of mangoes in south India, but farmers there are suffering from a lack of pulping facilities, as dealers from other states are buying their mangoes and selling them to pulping industries at a profit.

An official in the Horticulture department in Srinivaspur said many requests to set up a pulping industry have been in vain.
