After the experts from the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) visited Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily in 2015, Rosario D'Anna from the Sicilian phytosanitary service talked more about the export of Italian citrus fruit to China.
Following the Chinese inspections, a protocol on the phytosanitary requirements has been approved by both parties in early 2016. Nonetheless, the Chinese required further analyses to assess the presence of pathogens
