FICCI survey predicts slowdown in food sector; ready-to-cook still strong

A quarterly survey published by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) points out that food processing firms are facing constraints in production due to rising prices of raw materials, labour related issues, shortage of skilled labour and lower demand. And this could lead to a slowdown in the food manufacturing sector.
