U.S.D.A. forecast winter wheat production up 4% from 2015

The National Agricultural Statistics Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture on May 10, on the basis of its initial producer survey of the season, forecast winter wheat production in the United States in 2016 at 1,427,084,000 bus, up 56,896,000 bus, or 4%, from 1,370,188,000 bus in 2015. It would be the largest winter wheat crop since 1,542,902,000 bus in 2013.
