EU Increases Grape Importation From India

The European Union has increased its grape importation from India to 65,000 tonnes this year, with the UK buying the lion's share.

India's shipping of grapes has reached a record high of 1.92 million tonnes, compared to 1.72 million tonnes for the same period last year.

The EU barred Indian grapes in 2010 after finding they exceeded the maximum residue level of the chemical chlormequat chloride, though the trade route is now fully open.
