Yoakum, Texas-based Eddy Packing Co., Inc. recalled 26,136 lbs. of chicken apple sausage on concerns the product may contain foreign materials, according to the US Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The company discovered the problem after consumers complained of finding pieces of plastic in the product, FSIS said. No injuries or illnesses were reported. The product was produced Feb. 9 and was distributed nationally through a warehouse chain on Feb. 14. The products
