Taiwan food inspectors visit US to evaluate mad cow disease risk

The food inspectors visited the the American Meat Institute as well as the Consumers Union, which publishes consumer reports.
The team was informed about the meat production and sales in the US, and was assured that the case of mad cow disease in California was atypical. The institute also briefed the team about the control measures which have been implemented to prevent an outbreak of the disease.
