Coffee and walnut streusel syrup cakes

Ingredients

Melted butter, to grease
100g walnut halves, coarsely chopped
200g (1 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
3 tsp Riva Gold coffee
1 tbs boiling water
180g butter, at room temperature
2 eggs
300g (2 cups) self-raising flour
185ml (3/4 cup) milk
Double cream or ice-cream, to serve
Coffee syrup
155g (3/4 cup) caster sugar
125ml (1/2 cup) water
1 tbs Riva Gold coffee
