G20 leaders announce new initiative to improve food production in developing countries

The governments of Australia, Canada, Italy, the UK, the US, as well as the Bill Melinda Gates Foundation, are supporting this initiative, and the funds from the donor countries will be managed by the World Bank.
The initiative, known as AgResults, involves providing financial incentives to partners in the private sector, in order to promote research and development on food security challenges.
Public funds will be provided to only those partners who would demonstrate measurable results in spec
