Canada introduces new food safety act

nizes our food safety system to make sure it continues to provide safe food for Canadians, Ritz added.
The Act will consolidate the Fish Inspection Act, the Canada Agricultural Products Act, the Meat Inspection Act, and the food provisions of the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act.
According to Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), this Act is the result of consultation with industry, consumer groups, provincial and territorial governments, and other stakeholders.
