FDA sees ‘significant progress’ with food safety law

The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), whats being called the most sweeping reform of the U.S. food safety laws in more than 70 years, signed into law last January 4, aims to ensure the U.S. food supply is safe by shifting the focus from responding to contamination to preventing it.
