Argentina-China agreement for exports of apples and pears
Exports of Argentine apples and pears to China made simple.
The Minister of Agriculture of Argentina will sign with the Chinese authorities the simplification of phytosanitary requirements. The current phytosanitary protocol has been in force since 2010. Health agencies of the 2 countries (SENASA for Argentina and AQSIQ for China) had proposed a new simplified agreement will be ratified by the two parties.
This new agreement is very satisfactory for producers and exporters of apples in Argentina. They believe that this new protocol will facilitate the trade of fruits and advance their exports to China.
In Argentina, apples and pears represent approximately 50% of total national exports of fresh fruits.
