It is unfortunate that Nestlé has caved into public opinion rather than follow the science. The evidence doesn't support salt reduction, though public opinion may. Nestlé was a powerhouse in nutrition, but the marketers have taken over the research agenda. They would be better off considering potassium supplementation rather than salt reduction, if blood pressure was their real concern. They will lose for caving in - baby milk anyone?
